To help answer some general questions you may have about our services and facilities, here is a list of some services and phone numbers for your convenience:
ATM: For your convenience, there are four ATM machines located throughout the hospital in the hospital main lobby, near the Emergency Room Lobby, near the Birthing Center, and on the lower level of Medical Building 2.
Case Management: 703-369-8363. The Case Management department is a team of registered nurses and social workers, whose main function is to coordinate care delivery by helping to plan for discharge. They provide services 24 hours a day.
Chapel/Meditation Room: A nondenominational chapel/meditation room, located on the first floor, is open 24 hours a day for the use of patients and visitors.
Children: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Further restrictions may apply in various departments.
Dining Room: Prince William Hospital offers a full-service dining room for your convenience. We also offer a 10% dining discount for persons 55 and older through Supper Club; to request a membership form, call 703-369-8322 or stop by the dining room. Located on the first floor, the dining room is open to the public.
Daily: 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. (closed 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.);
11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.);
4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Facility Maps: Facility maps are available at the information desk in the main lobby.
Financial Services: If you have questions after you’ve received your hospital bill, contact our Business Office at 703-369-8300. If you have no insurance (classified as self-pay) and need assistance regarding your bill, please contact one of our Financial Counselors at 703-369-8020 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fire Drills: For your protection, the hospital conducts fire and disaster drills regularly. If a drill occurs while you are here, please remain in your room and do not become alarmed.
Flowers: Flowers are delivered on arrival. Flowers may not be accepted on the Critical Care Unit.
Gift Shop: Operated by the Prince William HealthCare Auxiliary, the gift shop located in the hospital main lobby sells a variety of items such as flowers, cards, specialty gifts and personal items. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closed weekends and major holidays.
Home Health Services: 703-369-8448. Home care services are available to patients requiring additional treatment at home. Your physician and case management team will work with you to arrange the most appropriate care for you in your home.
Housekeeping: Please tell your nurse about any housekeeping concerns or requests you may have.
Interpreters: Foreign or sign language interpreters are available for assistance upon request. Please let a staff member know you need this service so we may better understand your needs.
Mail: Mail delivery is made daily, except weekends and holidays. Packages and flowers are delivered on arrival.
Newspapers: Several newspaper stands are located outside the Emergency Room entrance.
Parking: Parking for patients and visitors is available in the lot directly in front of the hospital main entrance. Parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All parking at Prince William Hospital is free. We also offer FREE VALET PARKING Monday through Friday at the main lobby from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Patient Relations Your patient representative is available to answer any questions you might have about the services provided at the hospital. Your patient representative is available to facilitate communication and understanding between you, your family and our hospital staff. Your patient relations representative may be reached by dialing 8002 or 8803, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may leave a message outside of these hours and your call will be returned the next working day.
Proof of Birth Process: Prince William Hospital issues a proof of birth document within 7 days of a child’s birth. The proof of birth document is used only until the official state birth certificate has been issued. It may be used by the parents for official business such as insurance, until the state-issued birth certificate is received. Prince William Hospital collects the birth registration information from the birth mother and submits it to the state registrar in the Office of Vital Records in Richmond, Virginia. The proof of birth document given to the parents at the same time the birth registration information is submitted to the state. To obtain an official birth certificate, parents must apply to the Commonwealth of Virginia along with a $12 fee. Please use the following contact information:

Radiology Films: Borrowing your X-ray films from Prince William Hospital is easy to do. Simply call the Radiology File Room at 703-369-8584 at least 24 hours in advance to request the films; please bring a photo ID with you when you arrive to pick up the films. To pick up your films, enter the main entrance of the hospital and turn left down the corridor to the Radiology Waiting Area. Ask to use the direct phone line to notify the file room staff that you are here to pick up your X-rays. Films will be delivered to you in the waiting area. For your convenience when returning the films, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., pull up to the main entrance of the hospital and our Valet Service will accept your films.
Security: If you would like an escort to your car, please call our Security department at 703-369-8128.
Smoking: To promote the health, safety and comfort of all individuals, Prince William Hospital is tobacco free. This means tobacco use is not allowed inside the hospital or outside on the hospital grounds, including vehicles in the parking lot. Nicotine free "e-cigarettes" are also prohibited. TTY/TDD: We have a TTY/Telephone available for you to use in your room as well as other deaf/hearing impaired resources, if needed. Please ask your nurse for assistance. For hearing impaired phone services, please contact the Virginia Relay Services at 1-800-828-1120 (text telephone) or 1-800-282-1140 (voice).
Telephones: Local outgoing calls can be made by pressing 9 + number. Long distance calls can be made by dialing 9 + 1 + area code + number and can be billed to your credit card, made collect or billed to a verifiable third number.
Television: This service is provided at no additional charge. Televisions are closed-captioned.
Valuables: Please leave valuables at home. If you arrive with valuables, send them home with your family or ask to have them put in the hospital safe. If you choose to keep your valuable with you, the hospital is not responsible for these items if they are lost or stolen.
Visitation Policy: Prince William Hospital does not specify visiting hours. After 8:00 p.m., all visitors will be directed to enter the hospital from the Birthing Center entrance. Visitation occurs as appropriate to the patient's condition and personal safety. The hospital may limit or restrict visitors when visitation may interfere with the care of the patient and/or the care of other patients.
