Prince William Hospital offers a team approach to diabetes education. Its program, Living Well with Diabetes, is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Consultations are available for those with diabetes and their families, with an emphasis on a healthier lifestyle and understanding diabetes self-management skills. A physician order is required. Have you recently been diagnosed with diabetes? Do you need updated diabetes health information? A diagnosis of diabetes can be overwhelming. Knowledge and self-management are key factors in successfully managing diabetes. Prince William Diabetes Services is your resource for diabetes education. Our multidisciplinary team of experts will provide you with the latest health information in a class series called Living Well with Diabetes. This series includes a one-on-one meeting with a diabetes educator for an assessment of your individual needs. Day and evening sessions are available.
